Anke Drechsel Embroidered Rooster Riviera Blue Still Life & Animals warming spicesHand dyed and embroidered in Germany, this Anke Drechsel rooster emerges as both object and character. Set against a vivid Riviera blue ground, its red comb and tail feathers rise in confident contrast, while threads of pink and gold trace the plumage with a painterly hand. There is a sense of wit and refinement in its form. A creature rendered in textile, yet unmistakably expressive, with a presence that feels considered rather than ornamental.
